Opsview 6.8.x End of Support
With the release of Opsview 6.11.0 on February 2025, versions 6.8.x have reached their End of Support (EOS) status, according to our Support policy. This means that versions 6.8.x will no longer receive code fixes or security updates.
The documentation for version 6.8.9 and earlier versions will remain accessible for the time being, but it will no longer be updated or receive backports. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of Opsview to ensure continued support and access to the latest features and security enhancements.
Network Services - Email Opspack
Email continues to be a primary messaging method and our email integration requires minimal configuration. The ‘Active’ checkbox tells Opsview Monitor whether to list email as a valid notification method when you are creating notification profiles for yourself or other users, and includes other capabilities such as run on, command, and user variables.
What You Can Monitor Copied
Email notifications can be set up within a few quick steps. Opsview supports many email servers including Postfix, Sendmail, Zimbra and more. Email templates are also available to customize your email notification method. This allows your IT team to be aware of issues that are most important to them or their particular responsibility.
