Opsview 6.8.x End of Support

With the release of Opsview 6.11.0 on February 2025, versions 6.8.x have reached their End of Support (EOS) status, according to our Support policy. This means that versions 6.8.x will no longer receive code fixes or security updates.

The documentation for version 6.8.9 and earlier versions will remain accessible for the time being, but it will no longer be updated or receive backports. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of Opsview to ensure continued support and access to the latest features and security enhancements.

Host Template: Cloud - GCP - Storage

Monitor your GCP Cloud Storage Buckets. Service Checks include API requests, Network Bytes and Bucket statistics (Object count, Total Bytes and Byte Seconds).

Please review the overall Cloud - GCP Opspack documentation for details on prerequisites, known issues, and other necessary configurations that apply to all Host Templates in the Opspack.

Add this Host Template Copied

Add the Cloud - GCP - Storage Host Template to your Opsview Monitor host. If the resource you’re monitoring has no hostname or public IP, then open the Advanced settings pane and change Host Check Command to Always assumed to be UP.

Add and configure Variables Copied

The Service Checks in this Host Template use the following variables, and they will be added to your Opsview Monitor instance alongside the Host Template:

• GCP_PROJECT_ID
• GCP_BUCKET_NAME
• GCP_CREDENTIALS_FILE

For Opsview Cloud customers, please contact ITRS Support for assistance with these steps, as they require Orchestrator access.

This argument is optional - if you are only using one set of credentials, we recommend not setting it, and instead placing your credentials file in the default path /opt/opsview/monitoringscripts/etc/plugins/cloud-gcp/credentials.json. Ensure this file is readable by the opsview user.
