Note

Beginning OP5 Monitor 8.3.4, HTTPS is enabled by default on all OP5 Monitor repositories in the yum configuration files. When you update, the OP5 Monitor server will communicate with the repository over port 443 instead of 80. For customers whose applications are set behind firewalls that prohibits communication over HTTPS to the repository server, we recommend that you revisit your firewall settings, and update them accordingly. Otherwise, this may cause problems when upgrading to newer OP5 Monitor versions. The System updates service, which is part of the self monitoring, can be used to detect if there are any issues after updating to OP5 Monitor 8.3.4.
MON-12845 Config GPG signature checks in the OP5 Monitor repositories metadata are now performed by default when installing or upgrading the OP5 Monitor packages.

To download ITRS OP5 Monitor, including all components, see ITRS Downloads. OP5 Monitor is happy to announce the first public release of OP5 Monitor 8. For about a year already our developers have been working on the this release to make OP5 Monitor faster, modular and more focused on the customers’ needs. It is also the first release where we did things a bit different with the new microservice architecture and the API-first approach to development. We are certainly excited about this new major branch of OP5 Monitor and are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

To update to OP5 Monitor 8.0.0 from any previous version of OP5 Monitor 7:

  1. yum clean all.
  2. yum update.
  3. yum install op5-release-up-7-to-8.
  4. yum –enablerepo=’*7-to-8*’ update.
  5. On EL7, run this script:
systemctl enable op5-monitor
