OP5 Monitor release notes contain the list of issues fixed in the 7.x.x release version of OP5 Monitor.

Only the latest major version, OP5 Monitor 8.x.x, receives regular enhancements and fixes. In exceptional circumstances, critical fixes may be backported to previous major or minor versions, such as OP5 Monitor 7.x.x.

• You can now schedule reports to run on the first day of the month.
• The mon sysconf check license command has been fixed and now uses the check_op5_license plugin.
• There are no longer any reserved words to be considered for host group names in relation to recurring downtime.

• Fixed an issue where you could not configure a host whose host_name only contained numbers, when clicking Configure this host settings from the host /extinfo page.
• Host templates are now respected when you create new hosts and apply a template.
• Fixed a permission error for Test-Drive.lua during object configuration syncs between peers.
• Fixed an issue where users with limited permissions encountered errors when attempting to view business service value objects, such as Constant (OK).
• Fixed an issue that caused the syslog to fill with Use of uninitialized value... messages.
• Resolved a possible cross-site scripting vulnerability with the HTTP API error message.

These are the issues we have fixed in this release:

• As there is no longer a free licence available for OP5 Monitor, the licence expiry notice has been updated to reflect this.
• A horizontal scroll bar has been added to the list view.
• The check_snmpif plugin no longer returns segmentation faults when you use the -D option.
• You can once more add a host as parent in a template without breaking the configuration.

• The open-vm-tools package is now included in the ISO. This improves offline installs for OP5 Monitor customers that use VMware products.

• Naemon and Livestatus have been updated to version 1.2.0 to stay in sync with upstream.
• Fixed an issue that caused Naemon during configuration save to revert a disabled flapping detection for a host that has been disabled in the extinfo page.
• Fixed an issue that caused Naemon to create a perfdata file (empty) even if the global configuration process_performance_data was set to 0 (disabled).
• Alert History now updates after a logrotate.
• It is no longer possible to run Test this check with reserved characters in command-line arguments.
• The gzip compression in Apache has been removed to increase performance.
• Systemd is now able to restart OP5 Monitor services on RHEL.x 7 systems without postfix installed.
• Cancelling host downtimes (that are not recurring), when coming from a list view or the object page, now works correctly.
• Printing log messages with more than 4096 characters now works correctly.

• Improved control so that only backups from correct version can be restored.
• SNMP scan results are no longer filtered for any versions of SNMP.
• Scheduled downtimes are now deleted correctly from all nodes regardless if the nodes have started or not.
• Log archive search no longer throws timezone exceptions.
• A change in the implementation of SNMP on EL 7.7 caused incorrect readings of RAM usage. A flag -S has been added to be used with EL 7.7 target systems to disable subtraction of buffered and cached memory.
