To install OP5 Monitor with a software package:

  1. Download the OP5 Monitor installer (op5-monitor-<version>-x64.tar.gz) from the ITRS downloads page:

Install with a virtual appliance

This installation method is recommended when installing OP5 Monitor in a scenario where a virtual machine will run in a hypervisor, such as VMware or VirtualBox. The virtual appliance package includes a virtual machine with OP5 Monitor already installed and partially configured.

This is the quickest way to get started with OP5 Monitor. It is also the only installation method you can use for Windows servers.

Before you begin, check that you have a hypervisor installed.

To install OP5 Monitor with a virtual appliance package:

  1. Download the package (op5-monitor-<version>.centos7-x64.ova) from the ITRS downloads page:
  2. Import the OVA template into your hypervisor.

Note: For all tasks requiring access as root, the default password is monitor.

Success: After installation, the server displays the URL in the console. Use this URL when accessing OP5 Monitor.

Install with an ISO image

This installation method is recommended when installing an offline server. The ISO package includes all the files needed for installing from installation media, such as a flash drive.

To install OP5 Monitor with an ISO image:

  1. Download the ISO image (op5-monitor-<version>.centos7-x64.iso) from the ITRS downloads page:
  2. Create an installation medium, such as a flash drive, from the ISO image, using your preferred software.
  3. Ensure you have console access by connecting a monitor and keyboard to the server.
  4. Insert the installation medium and boot up or reboot the server.
  5. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

Note: For all tasks requiring access as root, the default password is monitor.
