Upgrading Infrastructure Agent

Upgrade the ITRS Infrastructure Agent according to the instructions for your operating system.

Note

The Infrastructure Agent can be used on monitored hosts with older Opsview versions, even if you do not upgrade to the latest version. However, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Opsview to ensure that all changes, including security fixes and new features, will work correctly with the Infrastructure Agent.

Upgrade procedure for Linux Copied

Debian and Ubuntu Copied

If you previously installed via a repository, run:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install infrastructure-agent

Otherwise, you can download the latest ITRS Infrastructure Agent from Agent Downloads and then run:

sudo apt install /path/to/infrastructure-agent-*.deb 

RHEL, OL, and CentOS Copied

If you previously installed via a repository, run:

sudo yum makecache && sudo yum install infrastructure-agent

Otherwise, you can download the latest ITRS Infrastructure Agent from Agent Downloads and then run:

sudo yum install /path/to/infrastructure-agent-*.rpm

Upgrade procedure for Windows Copied

1. Download the latest infrastructure-agent package from Agent Downloads.
2. Once the package has downloaded, open the file to install it.
