Prerequisites

Please read the prerequisites before installing the ITRS Infrastructure Agent.

Note

The Infrastructure Agent can be used on monitored hosts with older Opsview versions, even if you do not upgrade to the latest version. However, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Opsview to ensure that all changes, including security fixes and new features, will work correctly with the Infrastructure Agent.

Note

Certain plugins may require additional third-party software. Please see the Linux plugin help text and Windows plugin help text documentation for more details.

The Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is required for the Infrastructure Agent to run on Windows.

If it is not already installed, the Infrastructure Agent installer will attempt to install the version specified in the Third Party Software page.

You can also install it on its own before installing the Agent. Once installed, it can be managed and updated separately. If the Redistributable is removed, the Agent will stop working until it is reinstalled.
