Withdraw of the 6.9.2 Release

Unfortunately, due to critical issues identified with version 6.9.2, we have decided to remove it and ensure it's no longer available for download. These issues impacted the ability to install or upgrade but none were security-related. We are diligently working to resolve these issues and are planning to release an updated version 6.9.3 in early May.

What if you've already upgraded?

For customers who have already upgraded to 6.9.2, no immediate action is required, as none of these issues are security-related. Once it's available, you will still be able to upgrade to 6.9.3 as normal. We appreciate your patience and trust as we continue to enhance our software to better serve you. Thank you for your understanding.

Support policy

Supported versions Copied

Opsview supports all releases of Opsview Monitor for two years from the date of release, or the current release and the two prior releases, whichever is longer.

For example, if the current release is 6.4.x, then 6.3.x and 6.2.x will also be supported as the two previous releases. If it had been less than two years since 6.1.x was released, that would also be supported.

The currently supported versions are:

Version Release Date End of Support Date
Opsview Monitor 6.9 January 2024 January 2026
Opsview Monitor 6.8 January 2023 January 2025
Opsview Monitor 6.7 January 2022 January 2024, or with the release of Opsview Monitor 6.10, whichever comes later.

Supported means that security issues will be investigated, code updates will be issued, and documentation will be updated.

For optimal performance and guaranteed support, we strongly recommend deploying Opsview with all components on the same version. Running components from different versions, such as a 6.8.x Orchestrator with 6.7.x collectors, or using a component in version 6.8.5 with another component in version 6.8.2, is not supported.

Upgrading all Opsview components to the latest version is recommended for a mixed-environment. Also, minor version differences may exist between Opsview components, but this is normal as not all packages update every release. As long as your repository is current and no updates are available, this helps ensure Opsview runs properly and avoids compatibility issues. For more information, see Supported operating systems.

Each release has a list of supported operating systems and browsers. Please check the supported lists in the Opsview compatibility matrix.

Should you need help with upgrading your version of Opsview, we recommend using our Professional Services and Consultancy - Major and Minor version Assisted Upgrade pack, available through our Webstore - Consulting & Training.
