Opsview 6.9.x End of Support
Opsview versions 6.9.x reached their End of Support (EOS) status at the end of January 2026, in accordance with our Support policy. As of this date, these versions no longer receive code fixes, security updates, maintenance releases, or backported changes.
The documentation for version 6.9.7 and earlier releases will remain accessible for reference, but it will no longer be updated or maintained. We strongly recommend upgrading to the latest supported version of Opsview to ensure continued support and access to the latest features and security enhancements.
Hashtags Access Control and Notifications
Aside from being beneficial from a visualization and analytical perspective, Hashtags can be used to control what Users can see when they log-in to Opsview Monitor.
This means you can navigate through Configuration > Hosts and Configuration > Service Checks, tag those objects with your Hashtag, and then create a Role that gives Users access to only view/configure objects tagged with the given Hashtag.
For information on how to configure Roles, view Roles.
For those Users in the newly created Role, you can then create and assign a shared notification profile that only notifies them when a problem occurs on objects tagged with the given Hashtag.
