Testservicecheck - Request Format

This REST API is able to run tests against an active plugin service check so that we can get an immediate response without going via the entire monitoring engine. This is useful for troubleshooting.

Requires TESTSOME or TESTALL.

It is possible to change the arguments to use on the plugin, if the user has TESTCHANGE permission.

Note

This will not execute the check exactly as the monitoring system would do as there are some environment variables that cannot be set appropriately via the REST API.

URL: /rest/testservicecheck?hostname=X&servicename=Y

Only works for services.

Methods:

• GET — Retrieves data for the test service check tab.
• POST — Executes the test service check.
• PUT, DELETE — unimplemented.
