Gateway obtains Seasonal Time Series data from Obcerv. This data can be used to create dynamic thresholds in Gateway alerting rules that can better adapt to daily and weekly trends. This helps reduce alert noise by minimising the use of static thresholds.
Simple configuration and dynamic queries make it easier to use aggregation functions like count, min, max, average, percentiles, and more to create dynamic thresholds that can adjust to a daily or weekly seasonal trend. The same aggregation functions are also available to be used in dataviews to create new derived metrics and visualise them in Active Charts alongside the real-time metrics.
