OP5 Monitor 8.0.0 Copied

OP5 Monitor is happy to announce the first public release of OP5 Monitor 8. For about a year already our developers have been working on the this release to make OP5 Monitor faster, modular and more focused on the customers’ needs. It is also the first release where we did things a bit different with the new microservice architecture and the API-first approach to development. We are certainly excited about this new major branch of OP5 Monitor and are looking forward to hearing your feedback.
How to upgrade Copied
To update to OP5 Monitor 8.0.0 from any previous version of OP5 Monitor 7:
- yum clean all.
- yum update.
- yum install op5-release-up-7-to-8.
- yum –enablerepo=’*7-to-8*’ update.
- On EL7, run this script:
systemctl enable op5-monitor

These are the issues we have fixed in this release:
- Improved control so that only backups from correct version can be restored.
- SNMP scan results are no longer filtered for any versions of SNMP.
- Scheduled downtimes are now deleted correctly from all nodes regardless if the nodes have started or not.
- Log archive search no longer throws timezone exceptions.
- A change in the implementation of SNMP on EL 7.7 caused incorrect readings of RAM usage. A flag
-S
has been added to be used with EL 7.7 target systems to disable subtraction of buffered and cached memory.
