Issues fixed

These are the issues we have fixed in this release:

  • Fixed an issue with mon check exectime that gave empty results.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Livestatus Multitool Daemon (LMD) to crash with Panic: runtime error: index out of range.
  • Fixed an issue with snmp_functions that caused it to incorrectly filter some interfaces when using snmp v3.
  • Fixed an issue with an incorrect link within OP5 Monitor GUI pointing to support resources.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the old product name to be shown in notifications.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented valid recurring downtime from being applied.
  • Fixed an issue that broke the parent configuration page when deleting a hostgroup in a hostgroup.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented LMD from populating host_check_source.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'id' when loading the page to save configuration.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented business service hostgroups/servicegroups to work with LMD.
  • Fixed an issue where members_with_state were missing in both hostgroup & servicegroup tables in LMD.

How to upgrade

To upgrade to the latest version:

  1. Click the update notification in the OP5 Monitor web interface.
  2. Use yum update on the command line.
  3. Alternatively, download the latest tarball for offline installation.
  4. Run this script:
  5. systemctl enable op5-monitor

OP5 Monitor 8.0.0

Released: 30 January, 2019

OP5 Monitor is happy to announce the first public release of OP5 Monitor 8. For about a year already our developers have been working on the this release to make OP5 Monitor faster, modular and more focused on the customers' needs. It is also the first release where we did things a bit different with the new microservice architecture and the API-first approach to development. We are certainly excited about this new major branch of OP5 Monitor and are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

How to upgrade

To update to OP5 Monitor 8.0.0 from any previous version of OP5 Monitor 7:

  1. yum clean all.
  2. yum update.
  3. yum install op5-release-up-7-to-8.
  4. yum --enablerepo='*7-to-8*' update. 
  5. On EL7, run this script:
  6. systemctl enable op5-monitor

OP5 Monitor 7.5.3

  • The smssend module can now be used without root user privileges.
  • On RHEL 7.7, check_by_snmp_memory now produces a normal state.

These are the issues we have fixed in this release:

  • Updated the OP5 Monitor product image resolution.
  • The appearance of the login page has been adapted to fit the new branding.
  • The log for Ninja is now rotated.
  • Reduced scrolling after multi-action, only one banner is now shown.
  • check_vmware_api is now deprecated in favour for check_vmware_v2.
  • The configuration main page UI design has been updated and the number of unsaved changes are shown.
  • The Oracle-instantclient has been removed from distribution.
  • All text blocks during creation of admin account are now displayed separately.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented valid recurring downtime from being applied. 
  • Fixed an issue that caused the old product name to be shown in notifications.
  • Fixed an issue with an incorrect link within OP5 Monitor GUI pointing to support resources.
  • Scheduled reports from previous versions 7.5.x are now generated properly.
  • Fixed an issue that broke the parent configuration page when deleting a hostgroup in a hostgroup.
  • The logs for Livestatus and LMD are now rotated.
