File Agent 7.4.2 Copied

This release updates the File Agent to version 7.4.2. It contains the new features and bug fixes previously introduced in withdrawn Geneos release versions 7.4.0 and 7.4.1.

File Agent 7.4.0 Copied

Release Withdrawn

Geneos versions 7.4.0 and 7.4.1 have been withdrawn and are no longer available for download due to a discovered memory leak.

We recommend upgrading to Geneos version 7.4.2. For more information on the components packaged with this release, refer to the Geneos 7.x Release Notes.

These are the new features and enhancements of this release:

UTL-1285 OpenSSL in Geneos is now upgraded from version 1.1.1w to version 3.4.1, applicable to aix_64, darwin_64, linux_64 [generic], and windows_64 systems. For generic Linux systems, the Kerberos implementation has been transitioned from Heimdal Kerberos to MIT Kerberos.

COL-12312 Fix Analyser 2 has been validated with AArch64 architecture. For a complete list of supported Netprobe plugins, see Geneos Compatibilities.
COL-12422 The Linux OS tag has been added to ARM deliverable filenames. The file extension for 64-bit Linux executables has been changed from arm_64 to linux_64, regardless of the underlying architecture. This change affects the following components:
  • Netprobe
  • Gateway
  • Fix-Analyser 2
  • File Agent
  • License Auditor
  • License Daemon
  • Listener
  • Mkschema
  • Webslinger

Note

The -version command-line option can be used to retrieve additional information about these components, including the Build OS in the format <OS><Kernel Version><Build Version><Architecture>.
